It's a little more than eight months since MMA veteran Gary Goodridge fought Gegard Mousasi at FEG's Dynamite!! 2009 New Year's Eve show in Japan. Eight months, and still he hasn't seen a single penny of the money he's owed for that bout, Goodridge told MMA Fighting earlier today. "I'm pissed off. I'm fed up. I want my money," said the 44-year-old Goodridge. "Of course, you're like any other fighter at first, you stay quiet. You think, I stake my reputation and my whole career with these people. Of course they're gonna pay. Of course they're gonna pay, since my whole livelihood came from them in the last 13 years. Now it's eight months and it's quite obvious I'm not getting paid. So I'm going to open my mouth now." Goodridge, who accepted the New Year's Eve bout on less than a week's notice, made no secret of the fact that he was only taking the fight for financial reasons. After losing via first-round TKO at the Saitama Super Arena, he told reporters that he was looking for a full-time job so he could get out of the fight game for good.

"I guess my sight should be getting better...[the doctor] says it's definitely not going to get back to the same but at best it's going to be something like 20/40, 20/60 vision. I'm going to be really near-sighted. I can't see anything far away and when it gets close I can almost see it. There's going to be more surgeries even at the best case scenario. Worst case scenario is I don't get any better than this, I'm only working with one eye, I probably don't want to risk fighting again because if I lose that one I'm going to be blind."

Former UFC welterweight Paul Daley has been suspended for 30 days for punching Josh Koscheck following the final bell of their UFC 115 contender’s bout on May 8 in Montreal, according to Collette Lepianay, information agent for the Governing Body of Alcohol, Races and Games of Quebec (RACJ), which oversees combat sports in the province. Daley’s disciplinary action was handed down at a meeting held by the regulatory agency on Tuesday, said Lepianay. According to Lepianay, Daley did not attend the meeting, as he’d agreed to the suspension and wasn’t going to contest it.

Anderson Silva’s jiu jitsu coach says his fighter came back to his corner after the first round complaining of a "broken rib". Ramon Lemos also told Tatame that he does not expect Anderson to return to fighting until around March 2011. "After the first round he said he broke his ribs. He said told me he could not breath because of the rib. I told him to forget the rib and work the movement of legs and he would get the triangle… After the fight he went to the hospital and did an x-ray and the doctor said he did not break it, it was just a crack," he said. "Anderson is expected to return in February or March. We have not talked, but he has to take care of injuries, he fought twice last year and had an operation on his elbow. This year he made two more fights and now with this rib injury ... He is no longer a boy, he is 34 years old."

"When you screw up, you have to own it. That stuff really gets under my skin. Take Lance Armstrong. Lance Armstrong did a number of things and he gave himself cancer. He cheated, he did drugs, and he gave himself cancer. Well, instead of saying ‘Hey listen, I cheated and gave myself cancer, don't be like me.' He actually made himself the victim and then went out and profited something like $15 million dollars from this ‘Hey, poor me, let's find a cure for cancer' campaign instead of just coming clean and saying, ‘Look, here's what I did, I screwed myself up, and I hope people learn from my mistakes.' You just watch these guys and can't help but think, God, what a fraud. You got the whole Michael Phelps being a pothead thing too. I'm just glad I'm in the business I'm in so I can get them in the cage and kick the crap out of them."

Former Cage Rage champion and recent UFC fighter Paul Daley has not signed with Strikeforce. Despite reports of a completed six-figure deal, Strikeforce spokesperson Mike Afromowitz today told MMAjunkie.com no deal has been reached with the British fighter. Additionally, a representative for Daley said the fighter is weighing multiple options. Daley currently is slated to fight at next month's Shark Fights 13 event as part of a one-fight deal with the promotion. "At this point, I'm not really in a position to comment at this point and time," Wad Alameddine of Fight Management told MMAjunkie.com. "We've definitely been talking to Strikeforce, and we've been talking to a number of different groups. But right now, I'm in a position where I can't make any comment on that, unfortunately."
