Multiple veteran fighters scheduled for November card in Israel

New, 2 comments

Multiple UFC veterans currently are scheduled to fight on a large show in Israel for the International Fighting Championship. The promotion will hold the event Nov. 9 in Tel Aviv, lowkick.com reports.

One confirmed fight is former UFC title challenger Jeff Monson facing Sergei Shemetov.

(The) thirty-nine year old Monson will be joined by Frank Trigg, who will fight the local BJJ artist Roi Neeman. The event will also feature fighters such as Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou, Ricco Rodriguez, Charles Bennett and Hermes Franca (no opponents yet). The fight card is expected to pit some of the best Israeli talent against the listed above veterans.

The fights will take place at the 10,000-capable Nokia Hall in Tel Aviv, Israel on November 9th.

It will be interesting to see if this event goes off with these participants. Rodriguez just pulled out of his Bellator 31 fight with Dave Herman with a "serious knee injury." Not to mention, Sokoudjou was just knocked out by Houston Alexander last weekend at Shark Fights 13
