Strikeforce will be holding a press conference at Toyota Center in Houston next week in advance of its Aug. 21 show at the facility. Friday evening, the company announced bouts for the show in a press release. They are as follows:
Strikeforce light-heavyweight championship: "King Mo" Lawal vs. Rafael Feijao
Strikeforce middleweight championship: Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza vs. Tim Kennedy
Bobby Lashley vs. TBA
KJ Noons vs. Jorge Gurgel
The middleweight championship bout will be for the title that was vacated when Jake Shields was released from the promotion a week ago.
Lawal will be making the first defense of his 205-pound title while Lashley will step into a Strikeforce cage for the second time. He is coming off a first-round TKO win against Wes Sims in January.
Overall, this appears to be a very, very strong show.
