Brendan Schaub appears to keep getting better and better. In the battle between training partners of main event fighters Brock Lesnar and Shane Carwin, it was Schaub, representing Carwin, who got the upper edge, stopping Chris Tuchscherer with strikes early in the first round.
They exchange and Schuab gets the best of it. They circle around a little more and Schaub drops Tuchscherer with a right to the temple. He follows him to the ground and lands blow after blow, some blocked, until referee Herb Dean is forced to stop it. The time of the stoppage was 1:07, marking only the second time Tuchscherer has been stopped in 22 career fights.
After suffering a knockout loss to Roy Nelson in the final of The Ultimate Fighter 10, Schaub has rebounded with two first-round knockout wins.
