The UFC announced Monday that a middleweight bout between former world title contender Demian Maia and Alan Belcher will headline UFC Fight Night 22 on Sept. 15 from Erwin Center in Austin, Texas.
Maia is coming off a unanimous decision loss to middleweight Demian Maia at UFC 112 in April while Belcher is fresh off a second round submission win against Patrick Coté at UFC 113 in May.
Maia is 6-2 inside the Octagon while Belcher is 7-4.
Also, in the co-main event, "The Ultimate Fighter 6" winner Mac Danzig will rematch TUF5 competitor Matt Wiman. The two met last month at UFC 115 where Wiman won by a controversial submission stoppage when referee Yves Lavigne thought Danzig went out from a guillotine choke.
Spike TV announced Monday that lightweight bouts between Gleison Tibau and Jim Miller and Ross Pearson and Cole Miller will fill out the main card.
