Woodley talks about why he thinks he can beat Strikeforce welterweight champion Nick Diaz. I would have to agree with him in that Diaz historically always has problems with wrestlers than can take him down and keep him on his back. Not to mention that Woodley has excelled at picking up the grappling/submission portion of his MMA game. He also makes a key point in that every fight he takes from this point forward should be geared toward an eventual title shot. That's important because many young fighters just fight whoever, often putting themselves in fights with nothing to gain. It's good to see Woodley already thinking ahead, but also not looking past his opponent in Nathan Coy this weekend. This kid has a chance to be really good, so be sure to tune in this weekend and discuss the fights with us here at MMA For Real.
