The fight begins and lots of movement from Edgar early on. Edgar with a nice leg kick...and another as he dances around some more. Penn is in stalk mode and lands a solid jab..and another. Halfway thru the round and Edgar using a lot of movement from side to side. Pann stalking, trying to cut the cage off. Penn shrugs a Edgar takedown off and lands a series of short uppercuts. Penn with another uppercut with a minute and ten seconds left. Penn tring to establish the jab. Edgar throws a head kick that's blocked and then the bell sounds.
The second round starts and both fighters trying to pump the jab. Movement is a big part of Edgar's game plan it seems. Penn with a solid left as Edgar shoots for a takedown and denied. Penn with back to back jabs. Penn with a solid left hook. Edgar with a left hook of his own. Penn with a nice 1-2 combo. Edgar comes forward with punches. edgar with a punch/kick combo and a brief takedown, but Penn is up immediately. They have a brief exchange as the bell sounds

Edgar with a body shot. Penn with a jab. Edgar with a flying knee. Penn with a left hook. They exchange and both landed glancing blows as the bell sounds.
The last round begins and Edgar with a body shot and a nice right hand. Edgar with a takedown, but Penn is up almost immediately. Edgar with a jab. Penn looks to be slowing down just a tad and his winging his punches now. Penn with a leg kick. Edgar with a right hand at the halfway mark. Penn with a head kick that's blocked. Penn shrugs off a Edgar takedown. Edgar with a leg kick/punch combo and Penn tries to answer. Edgar with a nice right hand and Penn answers. Edgar with a jab. Penn with a nice right hand and Edgar grabs him as the bell sounds. Penn is visibly winded and is busted up under both eyes. Edgar is busted up under his eyes as well.
