Vitor "Shaolin" Ribeiro May Finally Make His Strikeforce Debut On May 15th Card

That's the word according to MMAJunkie:

A lightweight bout between fast-rising prospect Lyle "Fancy Pants" Beerbohm (13-0 MMA, 2-0 SF) and established veteran Vitor "Shaolin" Ribeiro (20-3 MMA, 0-0 SF) is likely to take place at a May 15 Strikeforce event.

Ribeiro has communicated his frustrations with Strikeforce as of late.  He has been campaigning to make his Strikeforce debut since November, but has been put on the back-burner for one reason or another since signing with them back in September 2009..  He's a submission specialist with 20 wins against 3 losses with 12 wins coming by way of submission.  His three losses are against Shinya Aoki, Gesius Calvacante, and Tatsuya Kawajiri.  He hasn't fought since July 2009(the Aoki loss).

Beerbohm is currently undefeated at (13-0) and has only gone to a judges decision once in his career.  He holds victories over notables such as UFC veterans Duane Ludwig and Rafaello Oliveira.  This fight could make the live broadcast on Showtime, but that has't been finalized yet according to the report.
