UFC 121 Results: McGee overcomes rough start to submit Jensen

After a rough first round Saturday at UFC 121, Court McGee, the winner of "The Ultimate Fighter 11," turned things around in the rounds two and three, submitting veteran Ryan Jensen with an arm-triangle choke early in the third round.

McGee with a right hand to open things up. Quick start and Jensen drops McGee in the first 35 seconds but he's OK. They clinch up and Jensen gets a takedown into half-guard. Brief scramble and Jensen lands a huge knee to the body against the cage. They stand. Nice jab by Jensen. Jensen tags McGee with two shots. McGee steps in with a good shot. Right hand for Jensen. McGee with one of his own. Left connects for Jensen. McGee ducks under a big swinging head kick. Jensen parrying a lot of McGee's punches. McGee sneaks in a straight right. They trade brutal leg kicks. Jensen lands. Round ends.

McGee's corner says he's going to get Jensen on conditioning. Not much happening in the early-going of round two. McGee tags Jensen with a left hook and slightly wobbles him. Jensen fires a high kick back. Jensen goes in for a half-hearted takedown that's easily stuffed. McGee clinches up and Jensen just shoves him away. McGee getting going here as Jensen is slowing. Jensen with a nice right. Both men working both the body and the head and are really swinging away. McGee pressing the action but Jensen is able to keep him mainly at bay. McGee with a left. McGee with a takedown at the bell.

Third round underway and McGee is going to work as Jensen is badly tired. Easy takedown for McGee and he has him pinned against the cage. McGee mounts him. Elbows for McGee. He moves to look for an arm-triangle and Jensen taps.
