Rashad Evans vs. Thiago Silva
- Many feel like this is a showcase fight for Rashad but I honestly think this is a horrible match up for Rashad, for one...he's a slow starter and Thiago comes out off gate headhunting...for two, we saw that accumulative damage can put Rashad to sleep and Thiago possesses the power AND ability to put numerous shots across Rashad's chin.  With that said, the Greg Jackson fighter I think will be able to weather the early storm of Thiago and pull out a mid third round TKO.  But I have a feeling Rashad will NOT look good in this fight and win more off of his ability to survive rather than anything else.

Paul Daley vs. Dustin Hazelett
- I have Daley actually nailing the taller fighter early and often and getting a premature stoppage due to Hazelett getting whoozy from the barrage.

SBN coverage of UFC 108: Evans vs. Silva

Joe Lauzon vs. Sam Stout
- Joe will control this fight, no question, en route to a decision victory.

Duane Ludwig vs. Jim Miller
- I like Bang but horrible matchup for him.  Jim will probably grind out a decision and make Ludwig look pretty bad throughout.

Junior Dos Santos vs. Gilbert Yvel
- My pick for fight of the night, I want to pick Yvel but JDS hasn't really been tested in the octagon and I don't quite think Yvel's the guy to do that.  The first few moments will be scary and brutal but I think after Junior survives he'll control the fight and put Yvel away in the third round via submission.

Preliminary Bouts (On Spike TV):
-Martin Kampmann vs. Jacob Volkmann
- Kampmann via decision.

-Dan Lauzon vs. Cole Miller
- Cole Miller via decisive decision.

Preliminary Bouts (Non-Televised):
-Mark Munoz  vs. Ryan Jensen
- Munoz via decision

-Mike Pyle vs. Jake Ellenberger
- Ellenberger via TKO in round 2

-Rafaello Oliveira vs. John Gunderson
- Oliveira via decision

- Evans over Silva by 2nd round TKO. This is a bit of a gamble. As much as Silva likes to keep moving forward, I'll be surprised if this goes to the scorecards no matter which fighter wins. I'll go with the former champ in this one, but he'll need to ride out the early assault from Silva.
- Dos Santos over Yvel by 2nd round TKO. I would still like to see Dos Santos put in against a powerful wrestler, but I must admit that I'm looking forward to watching this fight. I think that Dos Santos puts him away in the 2nd, although he'd be well advised to avoid the clinch. Also, watch out for biting!
- Daley over Hazelett by TKO in the 1st. I know a lot of people whose opinions I respect that are high on Hazelett. I'll need to see a little more before I'm convinced.
- Lauzon over Stout by submission in the 2nd.
- Miller over Ludwig by 2nd round submission.
- Volkman over Kampmann by submission in the 3rd. I totally get why people are picking Martin here. Just going with the underdog on a hunch.
Ellenberger over Pyle by TKO in the 1st.
- Oliveira over Gunderson by submission in the 3rd.
- Lauzon over Miller by TKO in the 2nd.
- Munoz over Jensen by TKO in the 2nd.

Rashad Evans vs. Thiago Silva

-I think the combination of Rashad's power, quickness, and wrestling ability will be too much for Thiago Silva.  I think Rashad goes back to his roots in this one and pounds Silva out in the second round.

Paul Daley vs. Dustin Hazelett

-Hazelett is a wizard on the ground, but I just don't see him being able to get this fight to the ground quick enough.  Daley gets him out of there in the first round via TKO.

Gilbert Yvel vs. Junior dos Santos

-Yvel is still dangerous but I think Santos will be too big and power.  He's also more well rounded so he has the tools to win this one either way.  I'm going with Junior dos Santos via TKO in Rd 2.

Joe Lauzon vs. Sam Stout

-Stout claims he now has a ground game, but I don't believe him.  Lauzon will probably be a bit rusty coming off the injury/long layoff so Stout could take this.  However, I think Lauzon's wrestling and sub game will overcome Stout in the 3rd round.

Duane Ludwig vs. Jim Miller

-Miller via Submission in Rd. 2

Dan Lauzon vs. Cole Miller

Miller is tall and lanky with a solid submission game, but Lauzon is a scrappy fighter himself.  I'm go with Miller via TKO in Rd. 2

Martin Kampmann vs. Jacob Volkmann

-Volkmann proved he's no slouch against Paulo Thiago at UFC 106, but Kampmann has way better standup than Thiago.  Kampmann via TKO in Rd. 2

Mark Munoz vs. Ryan Jensen

-Munoz via decision

Mike Pyle vs. Jake Ellenberger

-I REALLY liked Ellenberger's performance against Condit on short notice earlier this year.  The kid hits HARD.  Pyle could win this via submission, but I'm going with Ellenberger via TKO in Rd. 2

Rafaello Oliveira vs. John Gunderson

-Oliveira via Submission in Rd. 2
