From The LA Times:
Ultimate Fighting Championship President Dana White told The Times his organization has struck verbal deals for Anderson Silva to defend his middleweight championship against Vitor Belfort on Jan. 2 in Las Vegas.
I wonder how that's going to go down with Dan Henderson? I don't think he has re-signed with the UFC yet, and he was clear that the only fight he wanted at middleweight was Anderson Silva and not Nate Marquardt. Could we see another veteran of the sport on the outs with the UFC? Do you think the UFC paid him handsomely to keep him in the fold to face Nate Marquardt in a true #1 contenders match?
