The report comes courtesy of The Sun. Jackson will be filling to role formerly head by "Mr. T" from way back in the day. The film will also feature Liam Neeson as Col. John "Hannibal" Smith and Bradley Cooper as Lt. Templeton "Faceman" Peck. Jackson is rumored to fight former UFC light heavyweight champion Rashad Evans at the yet to be announced UFC 107. According to the report, Jackson was able to get the role over rappers 50 Cent and The Game. Jackson has had small roles in several movies during his MMA career, but this will be his first starring role. This continues a trend of MMA fighters appearing in the movies as of late, Randy Couture, George St. Pierre, and Cung Le are just a few names on the list. This movie is set to be released in 2010.
Let's hope the filming of this movie doesn't interfere with his training for the showdown with Rashad Evans when they fight later this year.
