MMA4Real Is Looking For Contributors

New, 7 comments

I'll be away from the computer until about lunch time, but I wanted to get this posted up.  MMA4Real is a couple of months away from celebrating its one year anniversary(awww).  MMA4Real has been the #1 blog for North Carolina MMA while also covering the UFC and other organizations.  This blog has grown ridiculously within the past couple of months.  The month of February set an all time high for traffic.  Then the month of March saw that record fall relatively easy, setting a new all time high for traffic.  Basically what I'm trying to say is that this blog is growing much faster than I anticipated, and it's becoming difficult to keep the blog updated as much as I want.  So I'm looking for one, or possibly two individuals to assist myself and Charles in taking MMA4Real to the next level.  So if you are still reading this and you are interested in putting in work at one of the best MMA blogs out there, come and see me after the jump.

You have to be a fan of MMA first and foremost.  I'll be honest with you in that this is NOT a paid position.  You would be doing this because you love the sport, and of course your work here could benefit you down the road in terms of landing a job somewhere with me as a reference or something to that effect.  Plus there are other perks that you'll possibly learn about later.  So what am I expecting out of the individuals interested in the gig?  Basically, I'm going to leave that up to you and this is how it'll work.

Here's what you need to do:

  1. Register as a member of SBN network and then join MMA4Real if you haven't already done so. Also, if you could register with your real name that would be great.
  2. Begin posting FanShots and most importantly, FanPosts. There is a 75 word minimum to FanPosts.  It should be timely stuff that's well written and tagged correctly.  I don't need individuals that will create more work for me!  Those of you that are familiar with the blog know I'll promote it to the front page most of the time if it meets that criteria.
  3. Email me( your screen name and tell me that you are interested in becoming a contributor so I know which names to look out for in the FanPosts and FanShots section on the right.  I read everything posted on this blog...everything.
  4. You will need to post consistently for about 2-3 weeks.  You don't have to post everyday, but I need to be able to get a feel for what you bring to the table.

I'm not limiting it to to anything.  If you are good with doing statistics or graphs then demonstate it as it pertains to MMA.  If you are good at fight analysis and breakdowns, then I want to read it.  If you are located in North Carolina and able to help cover the sport here, then I want to see how you would do that.  Whether its attending shows, and/or interviewing local fighters etc.  If you can do something other than the things I've mentioned, then I want to see it.  Basically I want people that have the drive(like myself) to make this blog the best that it can be.  If I missed anything feel free to drop your questions in the comments section, or simply shoot me an email.  Let's Get It On!

If you are not really interested in joining MMA4Real as a contributor, but want an internship.  Email me as well.
