Carlos Condit Vs. Martin Kampmann
![]() |
Charles Walker - I'm going against the grain here, while I think Condit will do well in the welterweight division in the UFC, I think he's being tossed a very tough opponent first in Kampmann. Both guys like to stand but I'd give Martin the edge on the technical aspect, that's where I think he'll beat up on Condit and close the distance almost immediately, I'm sure he learned what happens when you hesitate when he fought Nathan Marquardt. He'll batter Condit who will get flustered and get sloppy and Kampmann will score a unanimous hard fought decision. Kelvin Hunt-Kampmann probably has the edge standing, but Condit is the better grappler. I think a lot of this fight could take place on the ground since Kampmann thinks Condit's wrestling is suspect. I see Condit being able to use his length advantage in the standup and winning the battle on the ground to take the decision. |
Ryan Bader Vs. Carmelo Marrero
![]() |
Charles Walker - I think this is just a fight to showcase Bader because, other than submissions, he does everything Marrero does better. I think he'll come out quick like he did against Vinicius and beat him up standing en route to a first round TKO. Kelvin Hunt-Well all know what Bader brings to the table...good wrestling and good power in his hands. Marrero is versed in submissions and a good wrestler himself. He'll be looking to get this fight to the ground and Bader will use his wrestling to keep the fight standing. I'm going with Bader via TKO in Rd. 2 |
Tyson Griffin Vs. Rafael Dos Anjos
![]() |
Charles Walker - Griffin's going to maul this guy, I think we may finally get to see Tyson get a good exciting finish with some ground and pound via round 3. Kelvin Hunt-Tyson Griffin via decision...he hasn't been able to finish anyone and he should have the edge everywhere in this fight. |
Junie Browning Vs. Cole Miller
![]() |
Charles Walker - My first instinct would be to pick Browning because of how good his stand up actually is, but Miller's pretty tough and can probably absorb most of Junie's shots and get it to the ground where he'll have a definitive advantage IMO. I see this only last two rounds and Miller pulling out a submission. Kelvin Hunt-I don't know why...but something is telling me to pick Junie Browning in the fight. I don't know if it's because I think Miller is overlooking Browning or what. Browning has the most KO power of the two, while Miller has the edge on the ground. I think Browning will be smart enough to keep this fight standing. Browning via decision. |
Gleison Tibau Vs. Jeremy Stephens
![]() |
Charles Walker - Tibau via size, lol...nah I got Tibau wearing Stephens down on the ground and grabbing a submission in the 2nd.
Kelvin Hunt-Stephens missed weight something big time which means he is injured or out of shape...or both. Tibau is HUGE. I'm going with Tibau via submission in the 3rd round.
Ricardo Almeida Vs. Matt Horwich
![]() |
Charles Walker - Almeida first round submission.
Kelvin Hunt-Both guys are primarily grapplers and Almeida is the better of the two. Almeida via Sub in Rd. 2
Brock Larson Vs. Jesse Sanders
![]() |
Charles Walker - TKO round 1 for Larson
Kelvin Hunt-Brock Larson is a BEAST cut from the same mold as Sean Sherk and the Minnesota guys. He wins this one via TKO in Rd. 1.
Tim Credeur Vs. Nick Catone
![]() |
Charles Walker - Catone's pretty good but Credeur has been improving each time he's out in the octagon, his striking has improved alot as well. So I think that'll be enough to beat up on Catone for a decision.
Kelvin Hunt-Tim Credeur is better on the ground and will have a reach advantage standing. He's gotten a lot better since his TUF days. I see him winning a decision.
Jorge Rivera Vs. Nissen Osterneck
![]() |
Charles Walker - I got Rivera rushing him and beating him up on the feet quick and rather one sidedly. This will look like his fight with Grove, and he'll get the TKO in round 1.
Kelvin Hunt-Oh, I'm very interested in this fight and I hope it makes the broadcast. I think Osterneck is going to surprise some people in this fight. The guy hits hard and is very good on the ground. If he can keep "El Conquistador" at bay on the feet he should win this. I'm going Osterneck via Submission in Rd. 3.
Rob Kimmons Vs. Joe Vedepo
![]() |
Charles Walker - Not sure, and both guys have pictures...so...I'll take Kimmons by submission round 1.
Kelvin Hunt-Vedepo is probably more well rounded, but the majortiy of Kimmon's wins have come via submission. I'm stick with that and go with Kimmon via Sub in Rd. 2
Tim McKenzie Vs. Aaron Simpson
![]() |
Charles Walker - I remember McKenzie getting beat up in WEC (I think)...I don't know, so I'll flip a coin...you know what, I'll go against the grain and say McKenzie via TKO round 2.
Kelvin Hunt-Aaron Simpson via TKO in Rd. 1
