Lyoto Machida Vs. Mauricio Rua

Name: Lyoto Machida
Height: 6' 1" (185 cm)
Weight: 205 (93 kg)
Record: 15-0-0
Lyoto Machida
"The Dragon"

Name: Mauricio Rua
Height: 6' 1" (185 cm)
Weight: 205 (93 kg)
Record: 18-3-0
Mauricio Rua
Charles Walker-While the closer it gets, I give Shogun a little more chance, I still have to think he's coming off less than stellar fights, including his fight with Chuck, which he won but still got clipped more than once against a much older and slower opponent.  I think Machida has an answer wherever the fight goes and even with his low hands and off balance stance when he's moving, he's HARD to hit.  A wild, Capoeria - type kick still could be  a vital tool for Shogun, but I don't think he'll get it done.  Machida via TKO in Round 3.
Rich Wyatt-Lyoto Machida over Mauricio Rua by decision. It wouldn't surprise me if this was a very tactical matchup that isn't as exciting as most fans would like. Great matchup, though. Can't wait!
Kelvin Hunt-If Shogun find the opportunity to use the clinch to do damage or take Machida down he has a chance.  Otherwise, Machida will win via decision of late TKO.  I'm going with Machida via decision.

Cain Velasquez Vs. Ben Rothwell

Name: Cain Velasquez
Height: 6' 1" (185 cm)
Weight: 240 (109 kg)
Record: 6-0-0
Cain Velasquez

Name: Ben Rothwell
Height: 6' 4" (193 cm)
Weight: 265 (120 kg)
Record: 30-6-0
Ben Rothwell
Charles Walker- I'm going upset here.  Thought Big Ben isn't even close as far as wrestling skill, he's a hard hitter and has a bit better takedown defense than Cheick, who leveled Cain during their fight.  The longer the fight goes on I think it favors Cain, but I still have a feeling Ben will find Cain's chin and finish it off....early in the 2nd or late in the 1st.
Rich Wyatt-Cain Velasquez takes this one by decision. Ben is a dangerous fighter and I can understand why people are increasingly feeling good about his chances. I still think Velasquez takes it, though.
Kelvin Hunt-I really could see someone picking Rothwell here.  However, I don't think Velasquez will try to stand and bang with him at all.  Rothwell will not be able to stop that take down.  However, Rothwell is a gamer and difficult to finish.  Velasquez will control him for a decision.

Gleison Tibau Vs. Josh Neer

Name: Gleison Tibau
Height: 5' 10" (178 cm)
Weight: 155 (70 kg)
Record: 29-6-0
Gleison Tibau

Name: Josh Neer
Height: 5' 11" (180 cm)
Weight: 155 (70 kg)
Record: 25-8-1
Josh Neer
"The Dentist"
Charles Walker-Not too excited about this one, however, I think even with the size advantage, Tibau will have trouble with Neer who is constantly moving whether on top or on bottom.  If he tires out Tibau, he should be able to tee off on him in the late rounds en route to a decision win.
Rich Wyatt-Josh Neer over Gleison Tibau by TKO in the 3rd
Kelvin Hunt-I would love to pick Neer here, but after seeing the smaller Pellegrino control him I'm not so sure he can stop Tibau from taking him down.  Tibau via decision.

Joe Stevenson Vs. Spencer Fisher

Name: Joe Stevenson
Height: 5' 7" (170 cm)
Weight: 155 (70 kg)
Record: 35-10-0
Joe Stevenson

Name: Spencer Fisher
Height: 5' 7" (170 cm)
Weight: 155 (70 kg)
Record: 24-4-0
Spencer Fisher
"The King"
Charles Walker- I think this one will look like Fisher/Edgar with Stevenson using his wrestling to stifle the striker and pretty much peck away at a win......this definitely doesn't have finish written on it, so decision victory for Joe Daddy
Rich Wyatt-Joe Stevenson over Spencer Fisher by decision. As I've mentioned before, I'm going for Fisher in this one but I wouldn't be surprised to see Joe successfully take the fight to the mat and do some good work there.
Kelvin Hunt-If Fisher can keep it standing, it's his fight to lose.  However, I'm not so sure he can keep it standing and Joe Stevenson will grind out the decision win.

Anthony Johnson Vs. Yoshiyuki Yoshida

Name: Anthony Johnson
Height: 6' 2" (188 cm)
Weight: 170 (77 kg)
Record: 7-2-0
Anthony Johnson

Name: Yoshiyuki Yoshida
Height: 5' 11" (180 cm)
Weight: 170 (77 kg)
Record: 11-3-0
Yoshiyuki Yoshida
Charles Walker-I think this will be a tougher fight than most think.  A lot of people think back to the Koscheck decapitation of Yoshida, but Yoshida seemed worried about the takedown which made him tentative.  Here, I doubt Rumble goes for the takedown early, so Yoshida should be more relaxed on his feet and willing to engage a little more.  If this fight hits the ground at all, Johnson is in big trouble.  However, I think Johnson's wrestling is good enough to keep him out of too much danger, and Yoshida's chin has been exposed, so....Rumble via TKO late 2nd round.  I'm a fan of both though and would like to see both rise in the WW division.
Rich Wyatt-Anthony Johnson over Yoshiyuki Yoshida by TKO in the 2nd.
Kelvin Hunt-Anthony Johnson just needs to keep this fight standing and it's all his to win.  Yoshida is a very tough opponent and this should tell us a lot about Johnson.  I wonder how Johnson will look if this fight goes to the third round?  I don't think it'll get that far though. Johnson via TKO in Rd. 2

Ryan Bader Vs. Eric Schafer

Name: Ryan Bader
Height: 6' 2" (188 cm)
Weight: 205 (93 kg)
Record: 10-0-0
Ryan Bader

Name: Eric Schafer
Height: 6' 3" (191 cm)
Weight: 205 (93 kg)
Record: 13-3-2
Eric Schafer
Charles Walker-Bader should win this.....I say by decision
Rich Wyatt-Ryan Bader over Eric Shafer by decision
Kelvin Hunt-Bader will need to keep this one standing at all cost as Schafer is well versed in submissions.  I think Bader will look to show some of his stand up in this one and he should be able to finish Schafer via TKO in Rd. 3

Antoni Hardonk Vs. Pat Barry

Name: Antoni Hardonk
Height: 6' 4" (193 cm)
Weight: 245 (111 kg)
Record: 8-5-0
Antoni Hardonk

Name: Pat Barry
Height: 5' 11" (180 cm)
Weight: 235 (107 kg)
Record: 4-1-0
Pat Barry
Charles Walker-It'll be exciting for about two or three minutes, then Hardonk will force a takedown and expose Barry's weak ground game.
Rich Wyatt-Antoni Hardonk over Pat Barry by submission in the 2nd.
Kelvin Hunt-Hardonk is the more well rounded fighter and will enjoy a huge reach advantage.  Hardonk by submission if he fights smart.

Yushin Okami Vs. Chael Sonnen

Name: Yushin Okami
Height: 6' 2" (188 cm)
Weight: 185 (84 kg)
Record: 24-4-0
Yushin Okami

Name: Chael Sonnen
Height: 6' 1" (185 cm)
Weight: 185 (84 kg)
Record: 24-10-1
Chael Sonnen
Charles Walker-Okami via EXCITING decision lol
Rich Wyatt-Yushin Okami over Chael Sonnen by decision.
Kelvin Hunt-I'm going with Sonnen here.  I think his wrestling is good enough to negate Okami's strength which is wrestling.  Sonnen via decision.

Jorge Rivera Vs. Rob Kimmons

Name: Jorge Rivera
Height: 6' 1" (185 cm)
Weight: 185 (84 kg)
Record: 16-7-0
Jorge Rivera
"El Conquistador"

Name: Rob Kimmons
Height: 5' 10" (178 cm)
Weight: 185 (84 kg)
Record: 22-4-0
Rob Kimmons
"The Rosedale Reaper"
Charles Walker- I like Rivera, but Kimmons will submit him...round 2
Rich Wyatt-Rob Kimmons over Jorge Rivera by submission in the 3rd.
Kelvin Hunt-I'm going with Rivera.  The guy is fighting with a heavy heart with the loss of his teenage daughter last year.  He's need the money and he wants KO of the night.  He'll get it in Rd. 2.

Kyle Kingsbury Vs. Razak Al-Hassan

Name: Kyle Kingsbury
Height: 6' 4" (193 cm)
Weight: 205 (93 kg)
Record: 7-2-0, 1 NC
Kyle Kingsbury

Name: Razak Al-Hassan
Height: 6' 2" (188 cm)
Weight: 205 (93 kg)
Record: 7-1-0
Razak Al-Hassan
Charles Walker-Kingsbury via submission in round 2
Rich Wyatt-Al-Hassan over Kingsbury by TKO in the 2nd
Kelvin Hunt-Al-Hassan looked like a fish out of water on the ground against Cantwell.  Kingsberry via submission.

Stefan Struve Vs. Chase Gormley

Name: Stefan Struve
Height: 6' 11" (211 cm)
Weight: 238 (108 kg)
Record: 21-3-0
Stefan Struve

Name: Chase Gormley
Height: 6' 3" (191 cm)
Weight: 265 (120 kg)
Record: 6-0-0
Chase Gormley
Charles Walker-Gormley via TKO in round 1
Rich Wyatt-Chase Gormley over Stefan Struve by TKO in the 2nd.
Kelvin Hunt-Chase Gormley is too big and strong for the very tall Struve.  Gormley via TKO in Rd. 1.
