You all should know by now that I'm a huge fan of well executed submissions, which is why most of the techniques of the day involve some type of submission. I promise I'll start mixing it up a bit. However, I saw this video that Rob had posted up and I thought this would be great for aspiring grapplers and MMA fighters to see. The above video is our good friend Rob Pendergrass teaching the inverted armbar. Rob and his twin brother Guy have both earned their brown belts in BJJ under the guidance of Gustavo "Guga" Machado, who is a 3rd degree black belt. Their facilities are located in Wake Forest, North Carolina at the Pendergrass Academy.
While not exactly the same, I think this is a similar position/submission that Matt Hughes used to attempt to submit Royce Gracie back at UFC 60. Of course, Gracie didn't tap but this position does allow you to transition nicely into another submission or just maintain the crucifix position. Check it out.
