Traditionally the last UFC event of the year is 'stacked' more so than any other event of the year. This time last year MMA fans were on the verge of witnessing one of the most anticipated match ups in the history of our very young sport in Liddell vs. Silva. That fight delivered and uncharacteristically lived up to the hype. The event also featured the 3rd fight between Matt Hughes and Georges St. Pierre, and the UFC debut of PRIDE standout Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou.
Now here we are a year later, and again we find Wanderlei Silva in the midst of things as he squares off for the 3rd time against Quinton "Rampage" Jackson. There are two titles on the line with Forrest Griffin defending his LHW belt against Rashad Evans, and Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira defending his interim title against Frank Mir.
I want you to think back to last year and recall your feelings as you anticipated UFC 79. UFC 92 on paper looks to be incredible. Do you think the hype for UFC 92 will surpass the hype created for UFC 79?
