Fedor Emelianenko will return to the Strikeforce cage on Feb. 12, as he takes on Antonio Silva in a heavyweight main event from the Izod Center in East Rutherford, N.J...
A match between former UFC heavyweight champions Andrei Arlovski and Josh Barnett is also said to be in the works for the February date. It remains to be seen how the New Jersey Athletic Control Board handles the licensing situation Barnett -- who allegedly tested positive for a performance enhancing substance prior to a scheduled bout with Emelianenko in the summer of 2009 -- is dealing with in California. His hearing before the California commission was pushed back at their Dec. 2 meeting.
As speculated, Strikeforce will indeed hold an eight-man heavyweight tournament in 2011, and Emelianenko-Silva and Arlovski-Barnett are set to serve as quarterfinal bouts. Though the remaining combatants could not be confirmed, a third quarterfinal matchup between Fabricio Werdum and Brett Rogers is expected to take place in Columbus, Ohio, on a planned March 5 event.
A fourth and final tournament bout is also set to take place on the March card. Semi-final and final bouts would then be held later in the year at to-be-announced events.

Fedor vs Big Foot makes sense
those 2 are about on the same level cause it’s based on what they’ve done lately and not overall career plus Fedor picking his fights doesn’t help his legacy to every MMA fan out there who isn’t a nut hugger. With that being said I’m sure Fedor will win and I don’t give Big Foot much of a chance.
Coker feels the rankings are unjustified because Werdum beat Fedor so he thinks he should be #1. What he doesn't realize is that Fedor was only considered #1 for the fact that there was no clear cut stand out in the UFC's HW division at that time and with Fedor ducking top competition the rankings still must be set. Someone had to be placed in that #1 spot so because of this and of his longevity he stayed there from his Pride days. The guy had not proved he was still the #1 HW since those days when he's not facing top 5 guys unlike other #1 ranked fighters in their divisions who clean them out.
Hopefully
Fedor beats Big Foot and Overeem beats Werdum and those 2 fight each other with Alistair crushing Fedor like I’m sure he would and then going to the UFC since he’s expressed interest in going there before.

Yeah, that's the rumor
Although I won’t believe it until there’s a full-on announcement from Strikeforce, and maybe a poster or two.
You know what's really fun? Not being a raving lunatic. Give it a try some time, you might just like it!

If Fedor is going to keep MMA fans truly interested, he will need to run through Silva and fight again in the summer. I think we are all a bit restless by now. An emperor must rule, not negotiate.
