Join all your favorite MMA For Real community members and staffers starting at 10 p.m. ET/PT for our open thread for tonight's "Strikeforce: Diaz vs. Cyborg" which is headlined by a Strikeforce welterweight championship fight between Nick Diaz and Evangelista Santos and a middleweight championship bout between Ronaldo Souza and Robbie Lawler.
The show, which will emanate from HP Pavilion in San Jose, Calif., will air live on Showtime (tape delayed on the West Coast).

I don’t know how much I’ll comment in the show thread but I should be around for much of the LOR show later tonight. I should hopefully be my normal self, but I should warn everyone… for the first time ever, tonight I’m drinking Four Loko! No, it’s not the original mix of it. Rather, I’m pretty sure it’s the new stuff that just has booze in it, but that’s fine by me. I don’t need to be up all night anyway. But man, I can already tell you that stuff didn’t taste too good.
But, at least with a serious buzz on I should be able to somewhat tolerate Mauro’s commentary!

Oh man, it looks like it’s going to be a quiet thread tonight. I know the show isn’t that great, but I expected more people around, given that there’s nothing else happening tonight, sports-wise.

to that Sherdog audio preview of this show which I listened to yesterday. They had some people on (none of them Jordan Breen) and as much as I dislike Breen for being a douchebag, at least when it comes to fight analysis I tend to listen to it. Without him there, the show was pretty bad. All of the bozos they had on there predicted that Prangley would win, which I knew was laughable. They acted like Trevor was hot sh*t for some reason.
Even before that, I knew the clowns they had on were stupid when I heard them legitimately ask why Strikeforce has 3-0 Gracie and 1-0 Walker on this show when the Challenger shows have guys like FancyPants on it. Seriously, they acted like it made sense for Gracie and Walker to fight on the Challengers show and one of them had to bring up the obvious media attention aspect to explain why things are the way they are. I couldn’t believe I heard something so stupid on a site like Sherdog!
But Yeah
I like the job that Gracie did in his fight, stupid crowd booing aside.
Speaking of the crowd, I have to laugh that no one in the crowd gave two sh*ts about the Strikeforce stars and yet popped huge for Cain and went crazy for MC Hammer!
I'll bet whatever is on ABC Family is trending too
