Brian Stann made a statement Saturday at UFC 125.

Stann plastered Chris Leben in one round in the event's co-main event, dropping him three times before finally finishing him off with a knee and ground-and-pound.

Neither man gained much of an advantage until Stann hit Leben with a left that staggered him then dropped him with a big right. Leben was game and tough as usual, rising to his feet. Stann put him down again but referee Josh Rosenthal gave Leben clearance to get back to his feet. A knee put Leben down and he wouldn't get back up until Rosenthal pulled Stann off of him.

The time was 3:37.

Stann moves to 2-0 with two stoppages as a UFC middleweight.
