I understand U-verse to be pretty great
But the 4-stream limit per house, plus the whole “have to have a box at every TV” thing nixes it. Maybe in the future, but it doesn’t work for today.
Now Verizon FIOS, THAT’S where it’s at. Unfortunately, where it’s at is nowhere near us.

we only have 1 laptop and cable on one tv so no biggy for us.

well good news, inside mma said hdnet is going to be on comcast in detroit and cuban and dana have compromised and hdnet will start covering ufc soon, possibly live weigh-ins.

It should be in some areas already, actually. Comcast is cutting the analog feeds for everything by the local 2/4/7/20/50/etc, and since you can mush several HD stations in every analog station, they’ve got room for HDNET on the line. The catch is that you have to have a cable box on every TV, but considering how much HD content they’ve got (plus what they’ll get after this conversion) it’s worth it. So yeah, if you’re in an area that requires you have a box on every TV, it’s a good indication you may already have it, or will have it very soon.
