Tim Kennedy: A Fighter That The Carolinas Will Be Pulling For Tomorrow

For years, Tim Kennedy (12-2) was one of the most talented MMA fighters training in the Carolinas. During the years he spent stationed at Fort Bragg in Fayetteville, North Carolina, Kennedy was a key member of Team ROC (a talented, predominantly North Carolina-based fight team). Tim left his mark here by helping to develop a lot of young talent and helping to train aspring pro fighters over the years. It should be no surprise that fans of MMA in the Carolinas will have a rooting interest in seeing Kennedy's fight with Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza (12-2) on tomorrow night's Strikeforce card. This Strikeforce middleweight championship fight is a big opportunity for Tim and the culmination of years of hard work and dedication to his craft. Tim knows how to handle pressure well, having been a member of the Army's Special Forces, serving multiple tours in Iraq and winning a Bronze medal. Kennedy is a fighter that not only fans in the Carolinas, but also fans of the sport in general, can be proud of. Good luck tomorrow night, Tim. You'll have lots of interested fans in this region pulling for you.

He does. Moved there this past year but trained in and fought out of NC throughout most of his pro career.

He had Brandon in his corner last fight he had in SF, though he is training in Texas now

and I think most of his training was in Cali at the Pit, or at least that was where he got started.

He did spend alot of time at ROC in Fayetville though, and he is probably one of the most physically gifted guys in MMA, now that he has more time to devote purely to training, I think the sky is the limit for him.
