Brocktober 23, ladies and gentlemen. I have a feeling the UFC is going to go all-out with the marketing on this one. Lesnar will be the monster while Velasquez will be heavily marketed toward the Hispanic audience, especially since the show will be taking place in Southern California.
This is actually a pretty good main card. Shields/Kampmann is going to tell us a lot about both fighters. Sanchez/Thiago will be a battle of fighters who both need wins after being completely dominated in their previous fights. Ortiz/Hamill is what it is and Schaub/Gonzaga is going to tell us whether Schaub has some upward mobility or not, as Gonzaga has morphed from title challengers three years ago to heavyweight gatekeeper. I'm looking forward to this show.

I doubt Fitch will get another title shot…and why should he when he got OBLITERATED by GSP last time…I mean he beat Thiago(who’s coming off surgery and a long layoff)…and Thiago(who Kampmann beat easier IMO)…I think the winner of Kampmann/Shields should get the shot….unless Koscheck beats GSP…then Fitch should get the shot…oh wait…

velasquez will lose the fight before the fight even begins.
once he see lesnar at 285 come fight time and sees the difference he will be scared. he is human and lesnar is the one who do much better than last time in the cage. he was the only guy who was out a year and won. liddell, cote, rampage, alves and akiyama all lost their recent fights with over a year layoff. only lesnar won. plus velasquez would have not fought in over 8 months . advantage lesnar. i give cain about a 15% chance of beating lesnar. i like my 85%(brock) and will bet heavilly on him.

most battles are won before the fight ever takes place. hear is how i did at lesnars last fight vs carwin. fanposted on mania. lesnar 400 dollars on a -130 moneyline . yes all the fools bet the line down to -130 leben 200 dollars at 2/1 vs akiyama. bonnar 100 dollars at a +190 george s. 100 dollars at -180 . just those fghts is almost 1000 dollars. sig bet mayes? valesquez is the one who has not fought over 8 months and lesnar will be much sharper in this fight and don’t be surprised if he weighs 290 come fight time. your a fool and i’m a proven commodity. i used to fanpost here but mr. hunt won’t let me do one paragraph fanpost. there on mania and the gals guide. good luck your going to need it.

Look lets say Shields gets past Kampmann and GSP gets hurt kicking Kos’s ass, so they do a Fitch/Shields fight to keep them both fresh then when Fitch wins does he get the title shot?

I’m suprised they have Shields vs Kampmann as the co-main, considering no one outside the hardcores knows who Shields is, Kampmann really isn’t a draw, and they have zero footage of Shields to use.
While I think it is the appropriate thing to do from a pure sporting angle, they could have put Tito in the co-main, put him in the comercial and guaranteed 100K more buys, as sad as that is. But frankly, I could care less about how many PPV’s Zuffa sells, and Lesnar cards always sell insane amounts to start with anyway.
Pretty risking putting a guy who has a history of stinking up the joint in the co-main event though.
