From Fighter's Only
Top British middleweight Michael Bisping’s next opponent will be Japanese judo stylist Yoshihiro Akiyama, Fighters Only learned this morning from a UK source. The fight will headline UFC 120 in October.
Bout agreements have been drawn up and at least one has been completed and signed, with the second expected to be completed in the very near future to make the bout official.

I wouldn’t say he has a good chance at all at a KO. Akiyama always seemed more technique over power to me.

Actually,Akiyama has pretty good power. It just hasn’t shown much in his two UFC bouts, since both the guys he fought has iron jaws and are very hard to hurt on the feet.Fortanatly, that’s not Bisping’s MO…….

Akiyama puts hands all over Bisping and either knocks him out or wins a clear cut decision.Bisping isn’t durable enough or inately aggressive enough to pull off what Leben did.Boxercising for three rounds against Akiyama is just going to lead to Akiyama winning the first two rounds, then standing around and getting outpointed in the third.Bisping doesn’t have the offense output to finish off Akiyama in the third. This isn’t Kang he’s fighting. At best Bisping wins some abortion of a decision, which wouldn’t really shock me to be honest.
