the next fight jones has better be someone in the top ten. this is geting boring.

I'm all about covering the spread and moneylines. Glory favors the bold. Chance favors the prepared mind. Luck, well i have that too. University of Utah goes to the Pac-12 conference in 2011. I expect them to compete immediately for the conference CG. I still will always follow the Mountain West Conference. Brock Lesnar will defeat Cain Velasquez and face the winner of Junior Dos Santos vs Roy Nelson where he will defeat JDS and stake his claim as pound for pound champion. You have to let Jones develop. You throw him in with someone in the Top Ten now, you seriously risk him loosing and loosing badly and having him loose all his hype. This man was posting his arm big time inside of Brandon Vera’s guard. You do that with Rogerio or Shogun or even Forrest Griffin and you’re going to get tapped, no two ways about it.

Vladdy is a good fight for Jones. He’s a tough veteran, good at everything but not great at anything. He’ll give Jones some ring time to work on his skills against a fairly high level opponent who’s going to push him but isn’t a huge danger to KO or submit him. It’s proper matchmaking to bring along a prospect like Jones, who’s only been training for two years. People don’t realize just how green Jones is, because they watched him beat up Stephan Bonnar, Matt Hammil and Brandon Vera- guy’s who aren’t all that good- and just assumed he’s a world beater.

The talk of throwing Jones in a title shot already is ridiculous. If he beats Vladdy, the winner of Little Nog/ Ryan Bader would be an appropriate step up in competition.

i would like for jones to face a hopefully undefeated bader.

if brilz gave lil nog that much trouble i think bader could beat him as long as he did not get knocked out.

Brilz is a better submission grappler than Bader is. Bader is more of a pure wrestler. Bader also has a bad habit of essentialy giving away the second round in fights due to gas issues- he lost the second round to both Eric Shafer and Keith Jardine. If Rogerio got all over him in the second round and tapped him, it wouldn’t suprise me that much. It also would suprise me that much if Bader just walked up to Rogerio in the first round and knocked his head clean off his shoulders. Brilz landed like three punches out of a five punch combo thrown from his waist, all clean on Rogerio’s jaw, and hurt him bad. I still can’t believe this guy won a medal in boxing at the Pan Am Games………

Anyway, Bader vs Rogerio is one of the harder high level fights to call in a long time, because both guys are very good, yet have serious flaws in their game that the other guy can take advantage of. It should be an interesting fight.
