Moosin lives, schedules Oct. 9 event in Chicago featuring Kimbo Slice
MMAFighting.com is reporting that Moosin, which made its debut in May behind a fight between Tim Sylvia and former World's Strongest Man Mariusz Pudzianowski, will return Oct. 9 in Chicago.
The promotion is hoping for a double main event for the event, which would be headlined by former "Ultimate Fighter" contestant Kimbo Slice against Pudzianowski and Sylvia against 7-foot-2 Korean Hong-Man Choi.
Slice last fought at UFC 113, losing to Matt Mitrione by second-round TKO. He was subsequently cut from the promotion.
Known as the "Techno Goliath," Choi last fought at DREAM.11 in October 2009, losing by second-round submission to Ikuhisa Minowa. Choi (2-3) only has one win in the past three years, submitting former Major League Baseball player Jose Canseco with punches at DREAM.9.
In Moosin's May debut in Worcester, Mass., Sylvia submitted Pudzianowski with strikes in the second round.
[UPDATE by Matt Bishop: 8:50 p.m. ET 7/13/10] As pointed out by our own Robert Downey Sr. in the comments section, the Pudzianowski/Slice fight is being rebuked by Slice's camp:

I don't blame you
As ridiculous as these fights are, I’d love to see them live. They’ll probably throw a couple of legit matches on the undercard, too.
I throw raps that attack like the Japs on Pearl Harbor/MC's be out like bank robbers/Fleeing the scene, to be a sole survivor/DJ the getaway driver/Tried to dip but he dive, I socialize on vocal vibes/On tracks stabbed up with razor sharp knives

Wow.
Double freak-show main event? Astonishing. But with that said, I might also consider hitting it if things shake out.

Hopefully they'll make Kimbo/Pudz a 1-round fight
If it goes past the first, time to get some more beers from the concession stand

Massachusetts athletic commission on line one. Hello?
But seriously if your going to do freak show you might as well go all in. Last Moosin also had some pretty good regional fighters on their undercard
