Not a good night for our NC fighters. LOL….Props to Vega and Askren. There are not very many better pure wrestlers than Askren in MMA today.

the askren fight just proves that wrestlers are the top mma fighters these days
wrestlers can learn to strike and already can control you on the canvas. askren got out of a few submission just by his wrestling. look at the fights coming up. lesnar vs carwin. both wrestler’s. cain velasquez being imo the third best heavyweight out there is also a wrestler. rashad evans a great wrestler how imo when he fights rua will win. josh koscheck vs gsp both big time wrestlers and the lightweigths are full of them including the new champion frankie edgar. only anderson silva and temporarily rua are bjj’s and rua also has very good kicks. guys moving up with wrestling background jon jones, johny hendricks and ryan bader etc etc.
