UFC 114 Aftermath: Todd Duffee Talks About His KO Loss To Mike Russow

From the UG:

It was on the temple I felt the shot...it just shut down the cns system couldnt use my arms to catch my fall or anything i was watching everything till my head hit the canvas(which may have put me out)i blinked and he hit me with a hammer fist....the way i fell made it look much worse than it was...I wasn't gassed i was more frustrated and trying to stick to the game plan should of threw that out after the first 30 seconds ...my game plan was horrible......i wasn't snapping punches instead i was muscling them shoudl of kicked should of grappled should of fought....I'll be back and show I am more than capable of wrestling etc

thanks for the support and thanks to the people who helped me out sorry i let you down it will pay off in the long run

As I said in my commentary after the event, Duffee lost dramatically but he certainly showed a lot of good things before he got knocked out.  It's clear the kid is big, powerful, and agile with some striking ability.  However, he was  bit repetitive with the same combo he was throwing.  He was pretty active for a large heavyweight for the first two rounds, so although he was tiring I think he has pretty good cardio.  The interesting thing will be how he comes back from a loss like that.  I think he'll be fine because he clearly was dominating a veteran in Russow, so he should be able to build on that and go from there.

All things considered, I think this fight including the weird outcome will benefit Duffee.

Duffee needs to learn how to throw kicks and go to the body

Yeah he gassed after the first and wasn't the same after that.

Zak Woods called it he threw that left straight right uppercut like 17 times and I guess Russow finally got the timing down, as long as he gets his pace down he should be fine.
On an unrelated note has anyone ever played the UFC fantasy on their website, I actually made it in the top 20 and haven’t heard shit from them yet. I’m probably getting to anxious i’ve just been playing that shit for like two years and havne’t won anything

It'll be good for him

I’m still firmly attached to the nutsack of Mr. Duffee. Also, I think it definitely was the fall that put him out, ala the headbutt during Rampage’s famous slam on Arona
