I’m rooting for Tim, not because I’m a fan but because I hope he doesn’t embarass himself any more.
I’m still think about the reporter asking Fedor about Tim Sylvia in the documentary and Fedor offers a small smile and just laughs. I wonder how edited that clip was.

At least it's not a freak show fight or a fight against some amature.
I like the fight myself Pedro is still a dangerous fighter, it would be a lot cooler if this fight happened years ago but, I’d still watch it.

Man
And I almost believed Tim when he said he was going to fight serious opponents and work his way back to the top.

Unless he fights Josh Barnett, there’s really nothing for him but stuff like this until he signs with Strikeforce (I’m basically discounting the UFC).
He should just take a nice 25k/25k deal with Strikeforce and save face with the fans. Fights with Bigfoot and Brett Rogers can be fun if he doesn’t ask for a contract like he thinks it’s 2005 and he’s still “elite”

I don't really know if Sylvia is "past his prime" he's fat yeah but looking back
his best win is still probably Andrei Arlovski and look what that guy has done lately, I’m starting to firmly believe that the UFC heavyweight division was just that bad.

the heavyweight division was weak when tim sylvia was champ. it has gotten much better.

I still think out of the top four guys(in ufc) two of them would beat fedor.

Interesting fact
When Sylvia origanaly signed with the UFC back in the day,Monte Cox stipulated in his contract that he not fight Pedro Rizzo. They considered that to be the most God awful matchup possible for Tim,and wanted to avoid it at all costs.

It’s the truth, and pretty well documented.Monte Cox has talked about it in more than a few interviews over the years. They felt that Rizzo was an awful matchup for them.
Which is a little strange, because they accepted a heavyweight title fight against Ricco Rodriguez almost right out of the gate, and at that point Rodriguez was a much more dangerous fighter.I guess they felt Rodriguez was a better style matchup for them than Rizzo, since Rodriguez was a submission grappler and Rizzo was a striker.
