"I was ring-rusty against Jardine, and I may be in this fight in Las Vegas. That gives Rashad a teeny-tiny chance. Not a good chance, just a teen-weeny chance. Like 0.05 per cent. If I had fought more recently, he’d have no chance, he wouldn’t have needed to show up. He’d have fainted in the hotel room and we could have sent the referee with room service to wake him up and call that a KO. But don’t go crazy and bet money on Rashad. Don’t do that to yourself!"

OK, ring rust, really? That was his second fight in three months. If he said overtraining, I’d buy that, but how can you be ring rusted? Maybe he means overtrained. Who knows.
Dude is seriously wacked out of his mind. He’s rewriting history left and right-just like how he never wanted to fight Rashad, and how Dana told him he didn’t have to fight Rashad even if they did TUF together, and how he always really wanted to fight Machida.Even though all his past comments on record show those to be complete falsehoods.
Also,if you watched the latest episode of UFC Primetime,it looks like Rampage is still pushing 230 pounds or so,2 weeks out from the fight.I’d be suprised if the man can even make weight, and if he does,it’s going to damn near kill him.No wonder he’s already making excuses.

No excuses necessary
He’s gonna dump Rashad in the 1st round

yea
I’m assuming he means overtrained…as that was what he was using directly after the Jardine fight.

Unfortunately, NO ONE and i mean NO ONE can shut Rampage up. Even if he gets knocked out cold (like we’ve seen in the past), he brushes it off and blames someone else.
Hate is a strong word but in Rampage’s case, its the only word that comes close to describing my feelings for him.. That and despise, detest, abhor.. etc.

Damn, its that deep?
He’s obviously not the most articulate fighter in the game. Rampage processes logic and past events much differently than just about everybody else. I’ll enjoy his fights and leave it at that.

So in his mind, he’s never really lost…
I think the beatings he received in Pride from Wandy and Shogun’s knees have lead to dementia.
He should get tattooed after each loss or bad performance like that Guy Pierce in Memento…

Love that film!
Not for nothing, Rampage will remember Wanderlei and Shogun when he’s well over 50 years old.

They "he'd have fainted in the room" line
was dumb and made no sense.
I’m just surprised he isn’t blaming someone else.

I have to agree with every one but Charles here
Rampage could very well go out there and take Shadi’s head clean off but I think Rashad is gonna win this fight. Rampage doesn’t seem to me like he wants the fight, he talks alot but that’s all it is, he’s fat, and I don’t like him training with a bunch of guys that can’t wrestle when he’s about to fight a good wrestler who’s gonna try and take him down. Also Rashad sparring with big Shane inspires confidence.

training with a bunch of guys that can’t wrestle
That’s an assumption. Now I’m assuming that he’s training with the same guys that Bisping trains with. Uhmm . . . last time I checked Bisping can hold his own on the ground.
Yeah he’s training with Carwin and guys like King Mo. Great, good for him. Prior to GSP facing Koscheck, nobody really noticed or mentioned GSP’s wrestling or who he was training with. The story line was Koscheck’s highly tauted collegiate wrestling credentials and his AKA camp, ad nauseum. Just because we don’t know much about the guys he training with, when it comes to wrestling that doesn’t discount what they can do.

True it is an assumtion, and Bisping can hold his own on the ground but that doesn't make him a good wrestler,
Look what happened when he tried to take Hendo down versus Shields, he may have some guys that have a few good moves but the level of comp is lacking and that’s a fact.

Rashad sure struggled to keep Bisping down

Holding on to Bisping is like trying to climb a rope with your hands all greased up.
Like a anxious hare that one.
"I don't care, hit him with your groin!"
let me find out you and Bisping been up to no good

He did,
But Kang didn’t have much trouble doing it for a round.

Hammill held him down for a good portion of their fight aswell.

KANG? that was after a knock-down but like Jorge Gurgel, he spent way too much time trying to secure that perfect-position and didn’t do anything.
Then the 2nd round happened and Bisping kept him down, put him down and gave Kang his official UFC pink slip.

Rashad knows what’s up with that fight. And I’m sure he was really surprised with Bisping’s overall skills.

I’m not claiming he’s a good or great wrestler, but he definitely can grapple and he’s good enough to secure a win.
vs Kang = who’s ground game was FAR superior and effective
vs Evans = boring fight in my opinion. Was Evans able to hold Bisping down for long. No.
vs Hamill = Hamill was by far the better, stronger wrestler.
How can you truly determine the level of competition between camps? Just because guys have popular names, American collegiate wrestling credentials doesn’t always mean this, that, the other or the third.
Here’s some quick examples:
- Stephan Bonnar faced Jon Jones prior to Jones joining Greg Jackson’s camp. Bonnar has golden gloves experience, trained with Cesar Gracie, trained with Randy Couture, blah, blah, blah . . . what happened? (Yeah I know Bonnar likes to simply swing for the fences.)
- Roy Nelson trains with whom? I don’t really know. Look at what he did to Jackson’s young protege Brendan Schaub
Not to mention, Rampage has never really had a training camp with a strong group of guys in certain disciplines but some how, just some how he finds a way to hold his own in a fight.

I was refering to people with high level wrestling expierience neither of your bullets are examples of this.
Against Kang he got handled for the first round, that was all I said.
Against Evans I don’t know, fluke.
Against Hamill, he was the stronger wrestler exactly the point I’ve been saying. My whole argument was that Rampage is training wrong in my opinion. He should know better than me so I would question the guy to his face just on the internet.

None of this excuses the fact that Rampage is fat,out of shape, and hasn’t fought in over a year. This is a guy who hardly got it done against Keith Jardine, and he was still fresh and in pretty damn good shape compared to what he’s in now.
But he hits the mitts really hard and screams a lot during training,so he gonna win!!!! (rolls eyes)

!["I remember one other thing he [Rashad] was doing - he was punching me in my knee! It was weird because I had suffered a real bad knee injury in camp but we kept it secret, we didn’t say anything about it and we didn’t even tell the UFC."
"I told my doctor and that was it, he helped me out but I was going to back out of the fight. The only reason I didn’t back out was the fight had been so hyped and I didn’t want to disappoint the fans. Why was he punching me in the knee though? That’s kind of weird - did he find out about the injury? I don’t know. Its weird."
