FIghtmetric Stats Proves Economical Domination By Jose Aldo At WEC 48

Newpicturem_medium

Remember how I wrote that Jose Aldo's WEC 48 performance may have been the most economical by destructive performance I've ever seen?  Well, it appears that I wasn't drunk or anything when I saw the fight because that's exactly what these stats say.  The accuracy at which Aldo landed his strikes is astounding.  The scariest part is that Faber landed virtually nothing during the 25 minute fight and he's one of the best featherweight fighters on the planet.

Welcome to the Aldo era.

nobody in nevada, lake tahoe/ reno area bought the ppv.

how fast was manny g. ko over mike brown and was it a lucky shot or a good placed strike? they did show leonard garcia’s fight with the asian guy on spike and that was one hell of a fight. the asian guy’s nicknamed fit. “the zombie” he really showed no emotion until the end of the fight. it was an exciting fight.

Ridiculous stats

The other telling stat was Faber going 0-for-9 on takedown attempts. If you can’t hit him or take him down, well… Faber showed huge heart, though. He was in obvious pain. And yes, fightmetric is an excellent tool. Check out the Garcia vs. Hung stats and it’s easy to see why most though Hung won the bout (including me).
