BIG weekends coming up for Bread and Butter Mgt
Writing this from a hotel in Atlanta where John Buck Nasty is about to do work against Atlanta;s Sean Kilgus.
John made weight and seems to be in the mood to unleash some of his devestating elbows with power wrestling. Next week the Expert Preston Marks, Jeremiah Brandon Brown and El Dingo Loco Joe Carroll all travel to West Georgia University to fight.. The lineup is as follows:
- Preston Marks vs Norman Alexander
- Brandon Brown vsw David Curry
- Joe Carroll vs Uruhray Rodriguez
This is going to be a dynamite card held at West Georgia University. The Main Event will be Big Papa Country Bobby Pevler vs Nick Smiley and Joe Carroll wlll be the co main. Tickets to this event can be purchased by contacting Joe Carroll at 828-238-0347.
On May 1 Justine Kish returns to the cage in the fastest rising promotion in the Southeast, SportfightX. To fight the tough wrestler Krissa Timbs. It's ashame that Justine has to travel all the way to Georgia to get a fight. Oh well...the price of being a Jeff Jimo trained bad ass!!!
May 7 is the return Of Fight Lab to the Epicenter and the return of the Pro division to Fight Lab. If you are a fan of North Carolina MMA, then you do not want to miss this one. The headlining fights are as follows
- John Buck vs Sonny South in a rematch from Wild Bills Fight Night last year. Bad blood does not do this fight justice as a description. Buck Nasty won via ref stoppage last time, but the brawler from ATL says he is planning on spoiling the homecoming of Charlotte's original bad boy.
- Joe Carroll vs Jordan Rinaldi..this could easily be one of the most anticipated match ups in recent memory. Even though this is Jordan's pro debut, he has solidified himself as one of the top 155's in the state while Joe Carroll is considered to be the top 155 in the state period. The interesting thing about this match up is that alot of people think the rising group of amateur 155's ( Jacob Allman, Jordan Rinaldi and Colt Howell ) may actually be better than the current NC pro king now. This should definitely show us how far Jordan and his fellow debuts have to go....or...is Joey the king of a paper tiger. We will find out on May 7.
- Mike Krug vs Jeremy Perdue...if you are familiar with the training history here, then you understand why this is such a intriguing match up. Krug is a former Team ROC guy who now trains at Black belt USA. Perdue is the current golden boy at Team ROC. Expect fireworks and to hear alot of banter back and forth in the crowd as to what fighter and school is top dawg in Charlotte.
- Blaine Thomas vs Micah Lail...This in my opinion will be fight of the year in NC even though it features two amateur fighters; however, these are not your two average amateurs. These guys have almost thirty fights between the two of them. In my opinion these are the top two 170 fighters ( amateurs ) in the state and maybe the South east. This is actually a rematch from last year's Tribal Wars show that saw Blaine Thomas score a win via arm bar over the blue belt from Team Superior. This should be a great fight and I look forward to this one very much.
On May 8, Big Boi Ryan Bedini debuts on Jawbreakers at 205 in the pro division against Chico Santiago.
On MAy 15th MMA For Real's top ranked amateur fighter, "The Pain Train" Jeremy Holm debuts pro to see if can he inch his way up to the top of the pro ranks as well. Jeremy will face seasoned veteran Anthony Horn from Virginia at The Rock and Rumble Show in Charlotte, NC. We look forward to watching Jeremy advance quickly towards his dream of making it to the UFC.
Well this is it from The Bread of Corn. I will update you tonight on John Buck's fight and I will see you next week in West Georgia!
