UFC 115 sells out faster than any UFC in history

Ufc115-poster_medium_medium

The UFC event set to take place in Vancouver Canada on June 12th, featuring light-heavyweights Chuck "The Iceman" Liddell vs Rich "Ace" Franklin, sold out within 30 minutes of its pre-sale session this morning at 10am PT.

The remainder of the fight card as announced on the UFC website (UFC.com) stands currently as:

MAIN CARD

  • Chuck Liddell vs. Rich Franklin
  • Patrick Barry vs. Mirko "CroCop" Filipovic
  • Martin Kampmann vs. Paulo Thiago
  • Carlos Condit vs. Rory MacDonald
  • Evan Dunham vs. Tyson Griffin

PRELIMINARY CARD

  • Mac Danzig vs. Matt Wiman
  • Ben Rothwell vs. Gilbert Yvel
  • Peter Sobotta vs. James Wilks
  • Ricardo Funch vs. Claude Patrick
  • Jesse Lennox vs. Mike Pyle

This preliminary card has potential to achieve the same that we have seen for some time now in the UFC. It has potential to be more explosive and more entertaining.

While tickets are no longer available for this card it is still available live on pay per view.

With this undercard having so much opportunity, is there any one fight that you think should be moved to the main card?

vancouver was voted most beautiful city many times over in conde' nast traveler magazine.

when i lived in seattle i went there at least once a month. it has great architecture, its very clean, has a low crime rate, it’s an olympic city and skiing and the mountains are a 25 minute drive away. it’s a great city and if they sold out that fast i’m sure this might become a regular stop for the ufc. Vancouver’s skyline is just about the same size of chicago’s except for the sears tower and john hancock tower. it’s a massive city. no bldgs over 1000 feet but many from 250 to 700 feet.

I'm all about covering the spread and moneylines. I was building a house, I don't deserve this, deserves have nothing to do with it. Bang. "Unforgiven" I drink your milkshake. I drink it up! "There Will BE Blood"

wes

you have six listed on the main card….it’s usually five…the so it’ll be between the Condit/Macdonald and Griffin/Dunham fight in regards to being on the prelims….I’d like to see Condit/Macdonald personally on the main card.

bumped

It was the Thiago Alves vs. Jon Fitch fight that got bumped. I took that off. that brings the main card back down to 5.

I agree. I think the Condit/Macdonald fight would be a great fight to watch. Unfortunately I don’t think it would be the way that it goes. I think that the Griffin/Dunham fight would be more likely to show just because they are strikers making them more visually appealing to a larger audience. I absolutely hate that that is the care and that its something that has to be considered.

The Rothwell/Yvel fight would be a good one to watch too but not as much to compare to these other two.

are you kidding me?

Thiago Alves v Jon Fitch is a prelim??

I give up if that’s the case.
