Huge Silva Fan Here

. . . but I can not defend him or find an explanation for what happened.

I wasn’t happy about some of Maia’s butt scooting, but I was happy to see Maia attempting to press the action in the 4th and 5th round. Maia punching from his knees was cool.

Silva in the immediate post-fight with Joe Rogan apologizes . . . then says in the post-fight presser that he doesn’t feel he has to apologize to anyone. The dude is weird but he probably doesn’t realize how many bridges he burned again.

While he may idolize Muhammad Ali and Roy Jones Jr., none of them would ever do something like the 4th and 5th rounds. Yes, I did enjoy the 1st and 2nd rounds but felt he should have just put Maia away between the 2nd and 3rd because it just got ridiculous.

Check out the post fight comments on UFC.com

Silva,in English, trys to claim that Maia disrespected him in the leadup to the fight by talking too much trash.

WTF?!?!

All Maia said in the leadup to this fight was that Anderson was the #1 P4P fighter in the world, that it was a great honor to fight him,and that it was going to take everything he had to beat him. That’s it.If Anderson found that disrespectful, then he better grow a set.

Check out Maia’s post fight comments. He said Anderson cussed him out through the whole fight.

There’s no excuse for Anderson fighting like this.We all gave GSP crap for his fight against Hardy, but at least the man went out there and TRIED to finish the fight. Here,Anderson just went out and straight disrespected his opponent for 5 rounds and racked up just enough damage in each round to win a decision.

If Anderson still wants to go to heavyweight,I say now is the time.Match him up with Cain Velasquez.Winner gets a heavyweight title shot.Nobody wants to see him screwing around anymore.People want to see him smashed, and smashed good.
