"We are currently in discussion for Nick's next fight. It is possible that he will be competing for Dream in his next fight. If he fights in Strikeforce first he will probably fight a weight class up at 185lbs. As of yet we do not have a firm opponent."

Hendo vs Mousassi makes more sense
So does Jacare vs Hendo.
The man known simply as "Christmas Cheesesteak"
Yea
Doubt they’d tie up two belts by having Diaz move up to fight Hendo…Jacare/Hendo sounds bout right…if Shields loses…I think he comes to the UFC at some point….he wouldn’t fight at 170 cause he and Nick would never fight…and well..

They’ll tie up two belts because they need ratings and buzz something fierce, and Hendo vs Diaz would be ratings gold.

Doubtful
Diaz isn’t a huge draw…and nor is Hendo…so they wouldn’t get big time ratings for that fight IMO.

Champion vs Champion is always a draw, plus,if Hendo puts on a show against Shields, that’s about the best fight they could do outside of their HW division, considering how exciting Diaz has been of late.Plus they can spin the whole “Diaz is avenging Shield’s loss” thing. It’s a sexier matchup than Jacare, who no one outside of a small portion of hardcores know.Although a Jacare matchup would most likely end up with a highlight reel KO for Hendo, considering how chinny Jacare is.

I think you're both right
Because champ vs. champ is an inherint draw, even if people don’t know the guys involved, and the Caeser Gracie revenge factor could be good. On the other hand, Henderson isn’t a proven draw, and hasn’t been on TV for almost eight months, and despite the fan-fare Diaz hasn’t exactly proven to be a ratings monster either.
I’d stick that fight in the category as “Not that great, but good enough for Strikeforce”. I’d mark out for a Hendo vs Jacare fight, but let’s face it: nobody stateside has a clue who he is.

yea
but you forget…nobody knows who SF’s champions are(casual fans wise)…and Strikeforce isn’t very good at promoting their events.
