Ever since is was announced that James Toney will be taking part in out beautiful sport there has been a mixed reaction. Some fans see it as a chance for a high level boxer to test his skills in MMA and get his face beat in which will then be used as ammunition to shot at the "who would win in a fight: Boxer or Mixed martial artist?"  question. Other fans feel are having a fit and acting like some one just kicked their fist child. Shane Carwin seems to like the idea of Toney trying his hand in MMA.

"I think that’s great," Carwin told MMAWeekly Radio. "I think it’s some excitement. If people are talking about it then that’s good. I guess we’ll see how he does. It will be interesting who they match him up against."

Shane's open mind to having Toney is refreshing and should be an example to fans who bitch and moan. I was one of the fans who did not take this news too well at first. After reading the breaking news of the signing I did my Pissy fan stomp dance around my living room.  But after letting it set in, this can only end bad if Toney ends up a bloodied, motionless mess in the middle of the octagon and has to be carted out by EMTs. Oddly enough its Toney's gift of speech, or smushed together words that are thought to be speech. Either way its funny to listen to.

"I just like to hear him talk," said Carwin.
