Catching Up With All The Strikeforce News In The Past Two Days

You know, I guess all of criticism I've been throwing Strikeforce's way for being unorganized and failing at promoting their events hit home. Probably didn't, but at least they are trying to get their name in the news cycle once again. A lot has been rumored while some news has been released. You can check it all out below:
-Gilbert Melendez vs. Shinya Aoki On April Strikeforce card
-Alistair Overeem vs. Brett Rogers On May 15th Strikeforce card
-Andrei Arlovski vs. Antonio Silva on May 15th Strikeforce card
-Strikeforce wants Herschel Walker On THe April Strikeforce card
Still no word on Fedor Emelianenko and when he'll be fighting, although his camp doesn't want to fight Overeem. They instead want to fight Josh Barnett, who just signed with DREAM.
Also, although the April Strikeforce card will air on CBS, there's no word on where the May Strikeforce card will air. It'll be either the second consecutive month that Strikeforce will air on CBS, or the May show will air on Showtime. My bet is that it'll air on Showtime, because I doubt the ratings for the April show will be THAT impressive.

i like the shinya aoki fight.
the guy has a mean streak in him. kinda like the lightweight brock lesnar. i think he has broken two of his last four opponents bones. i know he did with one guy with a hammerlock move.

i hope the ufc could get him to fight b.j. penn.
aoki is one inch taller so penns jab might not be as effective but i would be confident that penn would win and maybe break a bone on aoki. payback is a bitch.

aoki is cocky and he might go ballistic after the beating and possible broken bone
maybe penn could break his arm in an armbar. after watching penn infict as much damage on sanchez there is not a lightweight on the planet that would not by nervous before a fight with penn. penn is my third favorite fighter and i have only lost money on him once. i got robbed in first fight with gsp. another website had a picture of gsp in third round with penn and his face is a complete mess. nobody has done that kind of damage to george st. pierre.

Really though, Aoki gets melted by Penn. Penn won’t get taken down, and even if he does his BJJ is good enough that he’s not going to get caught. Even though Aoki’s got reach on him, Aoki also has such terrible, terrible standup, and Penn’s boxing tears him up.
If they made that fight today, where do you think they’d put the line?

gomi first has to beat florian but you know i like what advances ufc ppvs(what is best for ufc, zuffa) so i say he.....
beats florian. i think even florian knows he can’t beat penn and if he losses to gomi he has a commentating career to go to. seen him on espn a couple of times and did a good job.
