Who will Sponsor Dream?

In 2011, will there be a major promotion in Japan? Just 5 years ago this question would be laughable. This tweet from Gryphonjapan made me wonder.

"From 2008 start,DREAM always has sponcer,"FieLDS HEIWA,OLYMPIA presents"(all gambling machine company)but,DREAM.13 has no sponcer ...Why?"

Before Dynamite I wrote this ridiculous post. (I was in a fragile state of mind and was overly optimistic. I would have believed anything…) Here is an excerpt from my post:

Unfortunately for FEG their sponsor, pachinko manufacturer FieLDS, is not going to renew their contract.

Dream knew this months in advance. So why don’t they have a sponsor for their next event!? Dream knew that FieLDS was going to drop them that is why they were courting Don Quijote. It seems though Don Quijote does not want to be the finical backer for Dream. This is my hypothesis; Don Quijote is done throwing money down the toilet by investing in MMA. They felt jaded by Sengoku and no longer want to invest in any MMA promotion.

So what now? Don't be surprised to hear about this in the coming months. Insiders have their ears to the ground so I expect an answer to this question in the summer. I have no clue; Japan is constantly keeping it’s fans on their toes. You never know what to expect, that is why following this sport is so much fun…and frustrating.
