10 Fights Announced For UFC 113 In Montreal, Canada
You probably recall me posting that UFC 112 in Abu Dhabi would be a pivotal event for the UFC. It'll be responsible for retaining the momentum built up by UFC 111(that's already sold out), and keeping it going into the UFC 113 event on May 8th in Montreal Canada. The UFC has 10 fights listed for this event, and on paper it looks like a pretty good card. This event will be headlined by the Mauricio "Shogun" Rua vs. Lyoto Machida re-match for the UFC Light Heavyweight title. Kimbo Slice is also scheduled to be on the card. Check out the fight card after the jump.
-Mauricio "Shogun' Rua vs. Lyoto Machida(UFC Light Heavyweight Title)
-Josh Kosheck vs. Paul Daley
-Sam Stout vs. Jeremy Stephens
-Kimbo Slice vs. Matt Mitrione
-Patrick Cote vs. Alan Belcher
-Tim Credeur vs. Tom Lawlor
-Marcus Davis vs. Jonathan Goulet
-Yoshiyuki Yoshida vs. Mike Guymon

nice card
I am not a kimbo hater,I respect the fact that he took danas challenge, but i am not really looking forward to that fight so much, but i am looking forward to the many eyes he will draw to the ppv and many of them fans will hopefully get the virus that is mma.
naw man
there aint no “big names” on it… same shit, different card! great card, BUT, casual fans won’t “get” it

Yawn. Slice vs. Mitrione. Either Kimbo is getting (T)KO’ed or this fight is going to decision.
Hopefully Tim Credeur vs. Tom Lawlor makes the PPV, that should be a really great fight.
Cote vs. Belcher . . . some one is getting KTFO’ed.
I like how you put Shogun’s name first, yes I noticed. All I know is that I will be really surprised if this fight doesn’t go to decision again. Machida apparently can take punishment and avoid getting hit. Shogun has never been (T)KO’ed.

slice is going to win by knockout or tko.
mitrione has worse cardio than even kimbo. mitrione was bent over most of the time in his fights on tuf. at least kimbo made the three rounds and won vs alexander.

I like Kimbo as a fighter and think he can go far . . . but he probably has way too many media distractions, AVN awards to attend to really put the focus that he needs to compete up to his potential - his Bas Ruten-level potential.
Belcher over Cote??? I don’t know who will win that fight, but that will be interesting to see.

Yo
Cote is coming off a year long layoff from an injury….Belcher got this…unless he finds a way to give it away….like he does at times.

Cote fought Tito Ortiz on short notice and gave Tito a lot of trouble en route to a unanimous decision loss in the 205 division. I don’t think the lay-off will hurt Cote. Cote has never been beat* up. Belcher is decent on the floor but I’ll doubt he’ll try to submit Cote.
- Just for clarity, I don’t equate his decision losses, or defeats via submission as being beat up.

Shogun has never been (T)KO’ed.
FWIW,neither had Rashad. He’d never even been wobbled in a fight,up to that point. And Thiago Silva, while he had been dropped, had never been finished before fighting Machida either. Both guys got KTFO once Machida laid his gloves on them.
What saved Shogun last time is he didn’t box with Machida.Machida is a counter striker, but his forte is countering punches, not kicks.Hence the reason why Shogun ate his lunch in that fight.
I like Machida in this rematch for no other reason than I think he can finish Shogun a little easier than Shogun can finish him,and the judges seem to like him more.Still probably the most evenly matched fight we’ve ever had in MMA.

Trust me, Rashad has been rocked -(not wobbled) a number of times . . . he’s just able to recover or his opponents were unable to finish him off . . . Imes, Hoger, Griffin. Jardine rocked him in the TUF2 match.
