I don't think they would do it in Vancouver.
Couture/Toney seems like a perfect fight to put on the July card in Vegas to really help cement that as the big show of the year. They’ve kind of given up on this Vancouver thing. If you put Couture/Toney on 7/3, you got Brock vs. Mir/Carwin, probably Velasquez vs. dos Santos/Gonzaga, and Couture/Toney. That’s at least a one million buy show.
Couture vs Toney is a much smarter fight than Franklin vs Couture. Love the idea of putting them on the July card.

The idea with van city is to position themselves to try and showcase what the UFC can do for the city in tax revenue, visitors, etc so that Toronto is more willing to let the UFC come in. RIght now thats what the UFC is doing in New Jersey to try and show New York what they are missing. Van city will get a great card for the simple fact that if it helps get into Toronto it is well worth it.

Tito tweeted a buncha chit at the end of the season of TUF,the way he worded it made it sound like he was just bitching about coming out on the loosing end of the season.But he did state he was going to fight Chuck.
Now with all this BS,who knows?With the way it’s hush hush,maybe it is an STD.
And FWIW,I like Franklin vs. Couture.They’re both basically in the same place in their career-kinda sorta contenders,but at the same time not.Franklin can bust up Randy on the feet for certain,and at the same time,Randy can take down Rich in the clinch most likely with ease,and work a top game.If Hendo can do it,I’m sure Randy can.I think we’d see a lot of scrambles on the ground and it’d be a fun fight,with Randy winning a close but deserved decision based off of positioning and ground and pound.
