Bangcok Fight Night V February 27: Roger Carroll defeats Clint Hester

Again, shamelessly promoting my friend and coach Roger Carroll! Live coverage from http://nextmmafighter.com/ reports that Roger dispatched Hester with his trademark BJJ in the first round. Clint Hester is predominately a kickboxer styled fighter, and from all accounts a hot prospect from ATL. I am very excited for Roger with another win in the ATL area.

Fight starts quick with Clint coming out to throw a few punches, Roger uses every opportunity to go for a takedown but Clint maintains his composure and his balance. Clint is able to stay standing until they get wrapped up in the corner and is finally taken down. Once on the ground, Roger passes the guard and is able to secure the mount. Clint does a good job of not taking any damage and bucks to escape but gives up an arm that Roger takes advantage of. Roger sinks in a tight armbar and Clint taps quickly.
