Dana White Answers My Question And Rampage Signs To Fight At UFC 114

You probably remember me writing a piece earlier this week about if UFC 110 was do or die for Wanderlei Silva, Keith Jardine, Stephan Bonnar, and Mirko Cro Cop.  We all had our own opinions and what not, but we now have an answer from the bald father(Dana White).  In a Q&A session at UFC 110, White commented to Yahoo Sports Kevin Iole that Wanderlei Silva and Stephan Bonnar would have a spot with the company for life.  He didn't mention Keith Jardine, but did say that Mirko Cro Cop had to perform well in so many words if he wanted to stay in the UFC.  He didn't say that he had to win at UFC 110 specifically, but he didn't say he had a spot with the company for life either.  Iole went on to document that White hasn't been pleased with Mirko's attitude towards the media, as well as his lack of cooperation with the UFC in regards to promotional duties and press conferences during his time with the UFC.  Cro Cop may have caught a break in that his orignal opponent(Ben Rothwell) pulled out of the fight at the last moment, so he'll be facing a guy in Anthony Perosh that hasn't been able to get a full training camp in at UFC 110. 

In other news...

Rampage Jackson and Rashad Evans have both signed their contracts to fight one another at UFC 114 in Las Vegas, Nevada.  You may have read that the UFC filed a lawsuit against Jackson, but that will likely be withdrawn according to Lorenzo Fertitta.  The lawsuit was in regards to Jackson's 'retirement' from the sport last year after having a falling out with UFC president Dana White about filming the "A-Team" movie.  However, it now appears that all of that has been worked out and the fight we all want to see will go down.
