Anthony Johnson Pulls Out Of Fight With John Howard With Knee Injury
From MMAFighting:
The scheduled March grudge matchup between UFC welterweights Anthony Johnson and John Howard has been scrapped after Johnson had to withdraw with a knee injury.
MMA Fighting confirmed the news with Johnson's manager, Ken Pavia.
This sucks as the trash talk between the two is well documented. I interviewed John Howard a couple of weeks back and he was already fired up about this match up. No replacement opponent has been named yet, so stay tuned to MMA4Real as more details become available.

man
There seems to be a lot of fights postponed or cancelled due to injury. Why? Guys no longer willing to fight hurt?

I think it’s a combination of things…more fighters are training harder, training with better camps (being pushed more), pressure to perform or run the risk of getting cut, 24 hour media cycles just waiting to blast away if you don’t do well (they’d rather be closer to 100% – a rare occurrence considering the business).

Yea
too much at stake to lose…also…there are more events that they have the opportunity to fight on later…it wasn’t like that just a short time ago.
