seeing Fitch’s last fight with the less than stellar standup, I’ve gotta assume he’ll take the safe route and go attempt to go back to his less crowd pleasing style ala Sonnen and grind out a decision from top position.

Thiago has been in there with GSP and survived. He took a lot of damage but survived and did better than most people in recent memory.
He’s had a lot of time to reflect on the defeat and must be working hard on his ground game and TD defense. We all know he hits hard. If he can avoid most of Fitch’s takedowns, and be comfortable on the ground if taken down, it’s safe to say he is still GSP’s only legit threat in this division.
Fitch is the perfect opponent for Alves in many ways at this point.
