Mark Coleman Cut From The UFC

In a report by Cory Brady of Five Ounces of Pain, hall of famer Mark Coleman has been cut from the UFC, following his loss to Randy Couture at UFC 109.

This leg of Coleman's UFC tenure lasted all of three fights, losing to "Shogun" Rua at UFC 93 and Couture at UFC 109, as well as besting Stephan Bonnar on the undercard of UFC 100.  Although Couture is slightly older than Coleman, "The Hammer" has not seemingly aged as well, and is showing it more as of late.

Does Coleman go to Strikeforce?  Does he retire?  Let us know what you think!

I'd be surprised if Strikeforce picked him up

But, I wouldn’t rule it out considering some of the stuff they’ve done before. I wonder if he could find a home back in Japan?

He’s shot. Retire. Everyone wins.

LOL

By Zuffa cutting him it’s basically like Dana admitting he doesn’t even believe the pre-fight hype he spewed about Coleman. Laughable.

Nover is gone too now.

U think he might be better off at 145? I know I always use that as a solution, but would that be the answer?

Easy:

Coleman, you’re done in the UFC. Turn in that glass HOF thing we gave you when you return in the cup we loaned you.

I think he deserves a better than this. At least talk to him and tell him the direction you wanna go into and if he agrees to stay retired, give him a send-off at WEC which is Columbus.

I agree BB

I think the UFC should let these guys at the end of their career stay on as coaches at the UFC training center or something….kind of like the way wrestling uses their aged guys.

I hope for his own health and safety, he retires, and stays retired.

It does not sound like he is quite ready to call it completely quits, so he needs to make the transition to the mentor/teacher role.
