If this is true
Could Strikeforce care any less about looking like the clear number 2 org? Losing to Russow to getting a shot at the Strikeforce champ?
SF knows they're #2...
Coker even said in a recent interview that UFC isn’t even on the radar which is true but then he pretends Werdum should be #1 for beating a guy who wasn’t still proven to be #1 lije it says in my quote.
Coker feels the rankings are unjustified because Werdum beat Fedor so he thinks he should be #1. What he doesn't realize is that Fedor was only considered #1 for the fact that there was no clear cut stand out in the UFC's HW division at that time and with Fedor ducking top competition the rankings still must be set. Someone had to be placed in that #1 spot so because of this and of his longevity he stayed there from his Pride days. The guy had not proved he was still the #1 HW since those days when he's not facing top 5 guys unlike other #1 ranked fighters in their divisions who clean them out.
No
It’d make him the DREAM heavyweight champion

Ahhh, gotcha. Wonder if Dana would say something like that when commenting on the other divisions… probably! :)
Undoubtedly.

Horrible fight for Duffee
He turns down a fight with Bigfoot on short notice and then takes this?
Then again, perhaps the reward outweighs the risk…

Well maybe he wasn’t ready for a fight 2-3 weeks ago, but now he is a month after. Also, it’s possible Strikeforce’s offer would have locked him with them for a few fights whereas this Dream fight is likely a one-fight deal. If Duffee impressed, even in defeat, I wouldn’t be surprised to see him back in the UFC early next year.
According to Wiki earlier, Reem was gonna get in the ring with the Undertaker…tough fight either way

goodnight Todd

This is going to be awesome. It’s like two monsters clashing. I give Duffee the edge in athleticism and rate them equal in punching power. It should be a VERY exciting first round and I do not see it going far beyond that.

If it goes past the first round, Duffee is doomed. With that being said, Overeem has a LOT more technique, and will probably murder him early anyway.

IF this fight goes through, it’s low risk and high reward for Todd. More than likely he’ll lose, but if he doesn’t there are some much nicer paydays in his future.
