Carolinas Fight Scene Update: Derek Brunson Dominates In Fourth Professional Fight!

North Carolina middleweight Derek Brunson (4-0 pro; 2-0 amateur) was victorious by 1st round TKO last night in Rhode Island. (photo courtesy of Derek Brunson)

At the "Fright Night" event in Providence Rhode Island last night, pro middleweight Wilmington, NC fighter Derek Brunson needed only :14 seconds to knock out hometown fighter Todd Chatelle (6-5). The win moves Derek to 4-0 as a professional after having gone 2-0 as an amateur (all pro and amateur wins having come in the first round) and brings an emphatic end to what has been a great first year in the sport of MMA. Congratulations to Derek and his team!
