UPDATED South Carolina MMA: Ultimate Battleground Championships "First Blood"

As you all know, South Carolina was legalized last year and the state is trying to start the year off with a bang. The Ultimate Battleground Championships "First Blood" event will take place on January 16th in Greenville, South Carolina. You can find ticket information here or call Jeff Harmon at (803) 463-5900 for more information. The event will be televised and broadcast into 1.8 million homes in the southeast region. The entire fight card can be found after the jump.

The event will air on MyTV 40 in upstate SC, Asheville,NC and parts of GA every Saturday from 5:30pm to 6pm throughout the month of Feb. and on MTN in North Carolina. Great to see so local mma get a ton of exposure and good on UBC getting some women flyweights.

wow. broadcast on a regional level is a big deal. that’s how you get people to come out to future shows. reminds me of boxing at local clubs and how that helped build fanbase for particular fighters at the grass roots level.
