Carlos Condit Could Return At UFC 115 Against Rory MacDonald

UFC Welterweight Carlos Condit Lands A Knee Against Jake Ellenberger

From MMAMania:

Former WEC welterweight champion, Carlos Condit (24-5), is in talks to take on King of the Cage star Rory MacDonald (10-0), at UFC 115 from the General Motors Place in Vancouver, B.C., Canada, on June 15.

Condit is coming off a hard fought win over a very tough Jake Ellenberger at UFN 19.  However, hasn't fought since then as he had to pull out of his UFC 108 matchup against Paul Daley due to a deep cut on his hand that had him hospitalized.  MacDonald is coming off his UFC debut with a win over Michael Guymon who was also making his UFC debut at UFN 20.

Now, it's a step up in competition for MacDonald, but it's a fight that I would be careful to take if I were Condit.  MacDonald while VERY young is also very good for his age.  I mean how do you go from fighting Martin Kampmann, Jake Ellenberger, and the Daley fight to taking on a 20 year in his second UFC fight?  I mean a win could announce that MacDonald is the real deal, but a win for Condit doesn't really mean much or does it?
