Tim Sylvia And Andrei Arlovski Could Possibly Fight For DREAM In Early 2010

From Sherdog:

As for going in reverse and bringing fighters over from the U.S., Sasahara indicated that though Tim Sylvia and Andrei Arlovski could not be accommodated for Dynamite, they could end up in Dream as early as the March event.

"Maybe after March, or even for the March event, I'd like to invite them over," he said. "They've never fought in Japan yet, so I'd like for them to make their way over."

You know Andrei Arlovski claims he was supposed to fight Alistair Overeem on New Year's Eve, so him fighting overseas in 2010 will probably happen at some point.  As long as they don't do Sylvia/Arlovski IV it's all good.

A year or two ago this might have meant something. Now……..not so much

Some people are like Slinkies... not really good for anything, but you still can't
help but smile when you see one tumble down the stairs...

A year or two ago people would be saying "NOT AGAIN"

I don’t understand why they would make this fight, to be honest, other than to do a “look at the huge Americans fight eachother!” Seriously, did they SEE UFC 65? Rubber matches are fine, but big Tim being up 2-1 means there’s zero reason to put on this fight.

Yo

They aren’t making them fight one another as far as I know…just possibly signing both of them.

Oh..

..well then who would they fight? It isn’t like there’s a glut of people above 185 in Japan..

i’d like to see Arlovski v Ubereem

stylistically i like arlovski v overeem, i think it would be a very equal match up in the sense that arlovski’s greater technique is cancelled out by overeem’s greater phyicality! man id be so stoked for that one, and as ou point out we’re not likely to see overeem in SF despite what he’d have us believe. unfortunately.

i wonder about Sylvia though, i now you’ve qualified what you’ve said but i wonder does he warrant any mention at all. i think i lost all respect for him after Ray Mercer knocked him the something out, he was already tarnished after fedor strangled him….
